ZJUT SCHOLASHIP

To encourage more excellent international students to study in Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology Scholarship (ZJUT Scholarship for short）is established. Usually, you can get a scholarship if you meet the following basic requirements.

• Committed to Chinese laws, regulations and rules of our school;
• Well conducted with no illegal or criminal record;
• Study hard with high scores;
• Have completed registration and been accepted by our school

• The application materials are fake;
• Failing to pay the tuition in time according to our regulations;
• Failing to register within schedule time;
• Violating school rules and Chinese laws during studying period.

ZHEJIANG PROVINCIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Zhejiang Government Scholarship sponsors students who are studying at or applying to study at higher education institutions (HEIs) in Zhejiang Province.

CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP

To promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities.

China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as MOE), is responsible for the enrollment and the administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs.

Now, 289 designated Chinese universities offer a wide variety of academic programs in science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, legal studies, management, education, history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts for scholarship recipients at all levels.

Bilateral Program（Type A）

The program accords with the cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached by the Chinese government and the governments and institutions of other nations. It is open to undergraduates, postgraduates, general and senior scholars.

An applicant shall file an application with the dispatching department of their home countries.

The subsidy period of professional study is consistent with the basic study years, which is 2.5 or 3 years for master students and 4 years for doctoral students.

Scholarship Standard

o   Master's degree: RMB 3,000 yuan/month; 

o   Doctoral degree: RMB 3,500 yuan/month; 

·        Comprehensive medical insurance: 800 yuan/person/year

Scholarship Eligibility

1.      Be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.

2.      Be a bachelor's degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master's programs;

3.      Be a master's degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;

4.      Have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese taught master's or doctoral programs;

5.      Meet the admission requirements of ZJUT in terms of academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criteria.

ZJUT FULL SCHOLASHIP (Doctoral)

In order to further enhance the internationalization of our university, attract more international students to study and engage in scientific research, foster a positive and proactive academic atmosphere among international students, and contribute to the development of our university's advantageous disciplines and its status as a "Double First-Class" institution, we are implementing a pilot reform for the doctoral new student scholarship based on the existing "Regulations for the Evaluation of New Student Scholarships for International Students at Zhejiang University of Technology (Revised)."The specific evaluation criteria for the doctoral new student scholarship are as follows:

Types of Scholarships

Full Scholarship: Covers tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and a monthly living allowance of 3,500 RMB per person. The scholarship duration aligns with the program duration specified in each major's training plan. During any extended period beyond the regular graduation timeline, students are responsible for their own expenses, and the university will no longer provide scholarship funding. Accommodation standards are based on double room.

Eligible Disciplines for Scholarship Application

All relevant doctoral programs covered by the university's existing advantageous disciplines.

Scholarship Evaluation Criteria

1.     Average scores during the master's degree stage should generally be above 85.

2.     Graduation from a university ranked within the top 600 globally.

3.     Outstanding research capabilities, including the publication of SCI or EI indexed papers during the graduate period.

4.     Priority given to applicants for Chinese-taught programs.

Continuation Criteria for Scholarship

1.     Chinese-taught students must achieve a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

2.     English-taught students must achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

3.     Attendance rate of 90% or higher, with no violations of national laws, regulations, or university rules.

4.     Must receive an "Excellent" rating in the annual evaluation by the supervisor.

5.     Starting from the second academic year, scholarship recipients must participate in the annual defense review (non-participation will be considered automatic forfeiture). Emphasis will be placed on evaluating research progress, and the scholarship committee will decide whether to continue providing financial support.

6.     In the third year, students must publicly publish (including acceptance) at least one SCI or EI indexed paper as the first or second author.
